Why did the customer contact us?

Chris called because he has a knee high filter that has 8 or so fins inside that needs cleaned. Two or Three of the fins are crunchy sounding. I drained my pool down because it was swampy then scooped out all the muck and grime, it's currently refilling. Can you come out and help my filter and pool?

Solutions provided:

Our lead technician went to his house. He looked at the filter first, it's a 36" DE filter. A filter clean service is needed to evaluate the grids for replacement since up to three are crunchy already. We found 5 grids to be 'crunchy', replaced them and put the filter back together. After the pool was filled, we added several, many pounds of granular chlorine shock to kill the algae. We went back two more times to check on the pool and needed to do another filter clean before being able to vacuum his pool and get it back to clear and blue.
